Personal Finance

In this fun finance class, we will dive into checking, savings, debt, credit cards, budgeting, interest rates, compound interest & more as we create and navigate through real life scenarios. 

 Highschool

1 semester-14 classes

(1 hr. once a week)

Cooking & Baking: Nutritious Meals, Snacks & More 

Using whole foods we'll learn to make meals, snacks and more from scratch!

Whether you're just beginning or have been in the kitchen a while, this class is for all!  There's always something new to learn and skills to brush up on. And the sweet reward of tasting and then eating what you made is the best part! Then go home and show off your new cooking skills as you make something for your friends or family.  Learn kitchen safety, basic skills, and some not-so-basic cooking skills in this fun hands-on class.  * Please note-this is not an allergy friendly class.

Grades: 3rd-5th

Come to The Backyard Schoolhouse

Let's learn about Succulents in The Backyard's succulent garden.

Health, Nutrition, & Cooking Class

HNC is a 3 subject class all in one!

We will learn about different

body systems and the nutritious foods

that support them.

We'll then head to the kitchen to

use some of the ingredients we just learned about to create healthy,

delicious meals.

Sweet Treats Baking

Who doesn't love sweets ?!

Whether it's your first time in the kitchen

or you're a pro,

let's get together and make

some sweet treats.

Homemade, from scratch, is always better! But shhh.. in most recipes we'll use some healthier replacements, like bananas and applesauce, Yum!

Clay & Dough Making Fun

Making clay and dough is half the fun,

but playing with it is even better!

Let's do both!!

We'll make a different clay or dough

each week and have fun with this

great sensory tool that promotes

creativity, hand-eye coordination and

fine- motor skills.

Parents, did you know playing with

clay or dough can also help ease tension, release excess energy, and improve focus?
